Projectiles LU 211
LU 211, is a series of high-explosive fragmentation projectiles from a French manufacturer designed to destroy enemy personnel, lightly armored targets and field engineering structures.
The projectile consists of a projectile body filled with explosive and a hollow base or base unit to increase the maximum range. The rotating band and plastic obturator are protected by a gasket. The projectile is supplied with a lifting plug designed to protect the detonator area from accidental damage.
The 155 mm LU 211 HE projectile provides the capability to fire at long range. It can have a hollow base (HB) or be fitted with a BB - Base-Bleed generator (the British analogue of the XL12E1). The BB (Base-Bleed) projectile can engage targets at distances of up to 40 km from a 52-caliber gun and up to 30 km from 39-caliber guns.

Usage notes
As of 18.04.2024, the LU 211 projectile is not described in Kropyva.
The LU211 xx-HB (without a base-bleed generator) in Kropyva can be equated to the L15A1. Kropyva for the M777 system also has a similar projectile, the ER02A1 HB, and ER02A1 BB, but only with DM92 propellants and M119A2. On this site you can see the "Conversion of propellant charges"
