Projectiles ERO2A1
ERO2A1, is a series of high-explosive fragmentation projectiles from the Spanish manufacturer EXPAL, designed to destroy enemy personnel, lightly armored targets and field engineering structures.
The projectile consists of a projectile body filled with explosive and a hollow base or base unit to increase the maximum range. The rotating band and plastic obturator are protected by a gasket.
It can be fitted with an HB unit or a BB (base-bleed generator) unit, the latter reaching a maximum range of 30 km when fired from 39-caliber guns, and 39 km when fired from a 52-caliber gun.
These 155 mm projectiles comply with the Joint Ballistic Memorandum of Understanding on 155 mm artillery ammunition, and can be used by 155 mm 39/45/52-caliber guns with both older bag charges and the newer MCS and MACS.
The ER02A1 projectile is an analogue of the German DM121 and a close analogue of the French LU211 and the Bulgarian ER520.

Usage notes
The munition is a new development of the German corporation Rheinmetall. The abbreviation ER indicates improved ballistic characteristics and increased range.
The ER02A1 projectile is described in Kropyva in M777 systems, but only with DM92 and M119A2 propellants. On this site you can see the "Conversion of propellant charges"
From experience of use in Ukraine, the ERO2A1 with propellant charges M231, M232, DM72, DM92 the projectile shows stable ballistic characteristics.
The ERO2A1 projectile is an analogue of the German DM121, and a close analogue of the French LU211 and the Bulgarian ER520.
