Projectile ER DP ICM GRM49 BB — extended-range cargo projectile
155 mm ER DP ICM GRM49 BB – is a cargo projectile from a Greek manufacturer Pyrkal, with a base-bleed gas generator unit (Base Bleed) for extended range, a base-ejection projectile containing 49 grenades, designed to engage personnel and armored targets, in particular tanks and armored personnel carriers (APCs).
These munitions can be used against personnel and armored targets thanks to the effectiveness of the combat elements, in particular their fragmentation effect (200 active fragments per grenade) and the ability to penetrate 70 mm of armored steel.
The munition is compatible with most modern 155 mm howitzers, including the M109A1/A2, M109A5/A6, M198, TR/GIAT, F3Am/GIAT, FH77A, FH88, FH70 and others...
Munitions EAS 155 mm ER-DP-ICM GRM49-BB fully comply with all NATO military specifications and test methods.

Usage notes
- It is an analogue of the projectile M864 (BB) (DPICM). M864 described in Kropyva for M777 systems.
Does not function on impact.
There are cases of barrel bursts when using M119A1 propellant (zone 8) from manufacturer LOT 37-AMB-23 (this is not a standard NATO-classification LOT). Here in detail about NATO LOTs
For the first round, it is recommended to reduce the fuze setting by 0.2 s. The ideal functioning height of the expelling charge is about 300 m; the characteristic white dots of the bursts are then visible from the drone. Analyze and experiment with the functioning time (burst height).
There is experience of engaging an enemy infantry fighting vehicle - the engine caught fire.
Do not use against dugouts, heavy armored vehicles, or targets such as "a tractor hidden behind a tree line".
- Each projectile is equipped with a lifting eye bolt for convenient handling.
- 8 projectiles packed on one pallet.
- The packaging ensures safe transport (land, sea, air) and long-term storage.
- Available other packaging options according to customer requirements.
