Proximity Fuze FU-RALEC DE F3
FU-RALEC DE F3 A French high-explosive fragmentation (HE) proximity fuze (Prox) used with standard NATO 155 mm high-explosive munitions. It has impact (PD) and delayed action. FU RALEC DE is an abbreviation of “Fusée Radioélectrique Double Effet” (dual-effect radio-electric fuze).
The principle of operation is based on receiving a signal reflected from the target: the fuze sensor is a variant of a radar, that is, a radio transmitter and a radio receiver are combined in one unit.

Fuze Setting
Turning the cap sets the fuze to impact action or air burst. The ground and air functioning modes are shown schematically on the fuze body.
