Impact Fuze PD544
Fuze PD544 is a mechanical fuze with impact and delayed-impact functions. It is designed for use with 105 mm and 155 mm high-explosive fragmentation artillery projectiles, including extended-range munitions, for artillery systems with barrel lengths of 39, 45 and 52 calibers.
The fuze can also be used with 120 mm rifled mortars, providing full functionality with all charges, including charge 0.
Fuze arming is initiated by inertial and rotational forces at a safe distance from the muzzle.
The striker and the SQ detonator provide instantaneous action on impact. The impact delay device is located at the rear of the fuze and delays functioning of the fuze by 60 ms.
